I was in the 6th row, and actually sat very close to where all the composer guests were! Also, I forked over the extra dough to be a part of a meet and greet after the concert with 100 other fans. I got everyone's autograph on a PLAY! Poster, and got to chat with some of them for a little. I casually asked Mitsuyoshi, "So, when's Shenmue III coming out?"
He laughed, and said he hopes soon. However, like Mitsuda did at the Chicago concert with the Chrono series, Mitsuyoshi said he would love to work on a new Shenmue game.They also released brand-new footage of the upcoming Blue Dragon title to the audience, and played some of the music by Uematsu! Come to find out, the title is actually being made by the Dream Team, IE the people who made Chrono Trigger, FFVI, etc. Rumor is it may even be related to Chrono Trigger in plot, perhaps a sequel/prequel. Only problem is that it's being released on the 360! I may have changed my next-gen console opinions...
Well, I'll upload pics of my numerous souveniers tomorrow, I'm sleepy now. A 6-hour car ride through customs can do that to you!
