I did the region mod for my Genesis model two, and I did not want to lift the leg off the chip, so I scraped off the insulation off the trace, and soldered directly on top of the trace..
While it did work, the solder just fell off the circuit in a few hours.. So I solderd it back on, with flux, and then hot glued it on... While it has been problem free for over a week now, what can I do to make sure it doesn't fall off again? And if it does, what can I do to prepare the circuit to have solder actually stick to the circuit?

I don't want to lift the pin, kinda why i tried soldering on the trace.. I do know, that on my Genesis, if the pin isn't connected to anything, my Genesis just defaults to ENG mode.. If you really don't want to pull out the pin you should just try using flux or try tinning your wires before putting them on the pin.
I was given some extra small solder, so I may be ok now..
