Is there a free program that takes a picture or video of what is on your computer screen and if there are no free ones are there cheap ones??

IF you have windows, JUST PRESS THE PRINTSCREEN KEY ON YOUR KEYBOARD!!!!! It's to the left of scroll lock. Then, open paint and press ctrl + v

Look next too f12 and press the printscreen button. Then go to paint or something and paste.

well now that we have that out of the way are there any programs that i can download or i already have (i mean that comes with laptops) that take a video of what is happening on the screen??

If you don't like that, there's a bunch more programs <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Screencast">here</a>, or search for "make screencast" on Google.

Taking screenshots? You didn't know about the Print Screen button? You've got to be kidding me.

1. Press Print Screen
2. Open an image editor (Paint, GiMP...) and paste.
3. Save.
4. Hit yourself in the head with a paper towel tube because you didn't figure that out before.
