Should they be connected?

Includes but not limited to: SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Game Gear and I guess the Virtual Boy.

I took a multimeter to my n64, one end to the ground stips and each of the three contacts. they were almost all connected. exept for one. should they be?

ALso, I have my cart slot relocated... By the contacts. My PSU Isn't working anymore....

My n64 wont start, but the screen on the tv still flickers.

PSU, like wall? Yea, it won't work, it happened to me. Ususually that means that a contact/wire has come off in the cart slot....bazing!
