Wanted to get for free: PSOne screen regulators

The title is very straightforward. I'd like someone out of the kindness of their heart to take the two regulators off of their broken PSOne screen PCB and mail them to me in an envelope.

Seeing as I'm in Canada it will cost a tad more to mail me a letter from the states, but I don't think it will be more than a dollar.

My regulators are dying. I think I n00bed them up. One doesn't even work anymore, and the two outputs are connected. And now it only powers up with wall power, the batteries don't turn it on anymore. And yes, the batteries are charged. (I'm not looking for a solution to the problem, I'm just explaning why I need the regulators.)

Can't you just go to your local "Source"?

But that costs money. Besides, I'd rather have the exact part for it, not some part that's kind of close.

Hey, a linear regulator is a linear regulator, & 5v is 5v... (Plus it only comes to a maximum of $5 USD...)

Ya, a 7805 is like 2 dollars.

Ok, let's assume I use the 7805 from my mini snes on my ps1 screen. I chop off the ground lead, and about half of the top part with the screw, like the regulator on the ps1 screen has.

Would it get significantly hotter or anything, or would it work exactly like the other regulator did?
