what are some free, downloadable, massively multiplayer online FPS games? i loved RPGs, but recently i have liked FPS's more. what are some good, free,MMOFPS's (if any?)

Isn't 64 the player limit for most online FPSs? Unless 64 is massive to you, you won't find any. It would be way hard to have thousands of players on one battlefield. Or, if your just talking about a FPS you can play only, get the halo for pc demo, its free.

Apparently some people haven't heard of PlanetSide, the first MMOFPS to be released. You can currently play PS for free until sometime next year, though you'll be limited to Battle Rank 6. Trust me, BR6 is plenty high to get the full experience out of the game.

There is something like it, Hexen, not many people liked it though, i think you can play online with the PC version.

There is something like it, Hexen, not many people liked it though, i think you can play online with the PC version.
Hexen is pretty ancient (or at least the one im thinking of is)

Wasnt it the next game ID made after the original Doom?
