In my eyes the Yobo FC Game Console is better for the simple fact that it has real NES controller ports on it. So you can plug up your Advantage, Power Glove, whatever! It uses NES carts without the need of a 60-72 pin adapter too. The controllers arfe great too.

Yeah it's prob. better too use it. However the retrocon also has 72 pins you know. But at first the retrocon seemed handy for pal people. But now it's deemed useless for actual pal games since the actual pal games that don't work on a ntsc nes don't work on this one either.

Well, the retrocon, IMO is worth a look for portablizing. Because you can convert easily. If it is like the yobo style, controls on another pcb, you can just solder orginal style control ports to the main board.

Actually, I like the retrocon over the yobo, because its PBC is smaller and the cost is much less. Oh yes, and looking at this guys site which a link was posted to, he probably didnt try out the retrocon on a PAL TV, he just set it to pal mode and assumed it would work on an NTSC TV. Of course, the NTSC and the PAL PPU chips are different, and i know for a fact that certain interrupts are timed a little differently, (50htz and 60htz is a plenty big difference in some games) but the switch changes between two crystals for the frequency, so I imagine that this should be compensated for. Oh well, the PAL NES was always a little screwy in my mind anyway, since the Nintendo designers had to change so much stuff in order to make it work with the stupid European standard. Why, or why, do the Europeans insist on having all their electronics be different from the rest of the world?

Because pal was actually better when it came out? You see the early ntsc tv's had a bit of a problem with color I believe. So in pal they added an extra signal too compensate. Then tv's became better and this was not neccesarry anymore. Also we have more lines on the screen.
