snes weirdness (please help!)

ok you all know ive been havin problems with my snesP for PWherman, i got the crystal from kelfmung (many thanks!) but it doesnt seem to have remedyed the situation! im gonna bdoublecheck everything and see if ive messed anything up but i still get the same problems as before

of the 4 games i tested (top gear 2, streetfighter 2 turbo,supermario world and super punchout) only TG2 and punchout worked at all and those 2 games i could navigate the menues and stuff but i got a black screen as soon as i tried to go into a race/fight! the other games didnt work at all

any info or suggestions or help of any sort will be greatly appriciated! really want to get this working for PWherman, ive had so many delays and problems already and this is one of my nicest portables yet and i REALLY dont want to have to get another snes, if i cant fix it and get it working with at least most of the games i have i cant sell it.
