Overclocking a Nintendo DS

So I'm sure many of you have heard about this through Engadget or something similar, but have any of you attempted it?

Some of the guide is in broken english, but it's really not hard to understand. So anyway, I've got two questions before I attempt this endeavor- Does anyone have any pointers that aren't mentioned in the guide? And does anyone know what would happen if you were to play online (say Mario Kart?) going at 1.7x speed?

Seems a rather strange idea. I can see wanting to improve rendering speeds, but why play a game balanced for 1x gameplay at 1.7x speeds?

Because you can.

So there is a guide, I searched google for a ds overclock guide and all I got was the a video (not the one on that guide). All I can suggest is to not mess up.

I actually overclocked my Old DS (Hevy) but had to remove the mod because I sold it to someone. I managed to throw in a 21 MHz ceramic oscillator, which worked out pretty well. I recommend it!

I meant on multiplayer. I thinking it would cause glitches.

I took out the headphone jack and put a sub-mini toggle switch in, because I knew I was boung to sell it.

I have no idea. Its cool that people found out how to do this stuff. I want to see what happens on wifi, when playing Jump Superstars. That would be funny

So what do these crystals look like?

emulators and other homebrew.

I tried it on my old DS... but it didn't work. And I accidently fried a resister while I was doing it, actually. But I took the wires out and put everything back together and it still works. So I'm happy.
