Go to [View] -> [Text Size] and select an option. Personally, I use medium.
I'd imagine right now you wish you were a cuttlefish...

Under the View menu, select "Font Size" then "Medium".

If you were using Firefox (which you should be :P), You could just hold down Ctrl and use the mouse's scroll wheel.

Two words: Get Firefox :D

I know that in firefox, you hold ctrl and spin the scroll wheel to make text bigger or smaller, it might be the same in IE.

In IE, click View->Text Size->Medium or a smaller size if it is already on that.
Edit: I'm saying the same thing, whoops.

If your dad will get mad, ask first. If not, I'd go ahead. Tell him it doesn't have spyware and that.

<a href="http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/b ... x">Firefox you don't have to install</a>.

Ask him first if you think he'll get angry. Show him that they give away the source code (something spyware companies never do). Relate it to Netscape. And most importantly, show him a couple web pages about Firefox's security and resistance to automated spyware.

If that fails, just hide the Portable Firefox folder. :P
