I bought two Myiicco controlers to do the joystick mod.

I've given it a shot on my own, I can't figure it out.
Here's the story. I read Electric Rain's page about how to do it, and couldn't figure it out. I tried a good 6 educated guesses, then about 10 random guesses. I PMed Electric Rain and he tried to help me personaly, but he couldn't figure it out either. After that, I've tried about 4 ways that I was certain would work, of course none worked. I've been trying to do this for a good week or so, and it is the last thing I have to do to finish my N64p's insides.
I figured out a few things; I don't know if they will help, but here they are:

http://img71.imageshack.us/img71/2941/img02949sa.jpg N.P. side
The black things are prongs, and the grey solder. If I touch just one end of my multimeter to one of the prongs on the side, the cursor on the screen will fly to the right or left( same goes with prongs on top, cept top to bottom), and if I touch both ends of my multimeter to a prong on the side and top, it will fly diagnoly.

If you can't help, say you can't help. If you need more info, say "i need more info" If its impossible, then say that.
Thanks in advance

ok here is what I did (and it works on the actual n64, no mods, one controller
This requires tact switches, or you could create rocker panels for it
anyway, look closely at the rocker panels for the buttons and trace their source from the chip
place a dab of flux on the open copper circle right before the rocker panels and solder a wire to it
now attaching that wire to ground will initiate the button
That is what I am doing and I did it in a day without problems, also I extended the joysick with longer IDE Wires
Now all I ahve to do is get some tact switches and mount them on proto-board and mount in a console
try that I like it, however be careful when working on anything because when a drop of stray solder lands just right on the rocker panels, it permanently depresses the button! (voice of experience)

I think the problem is simply that the pot values are different. They have to be the same or close in order to work, I think, meaning that you'd need the controller Electric Rain used. What are the values on that controller, Electric Rain, if you happen to know?
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!

the pot values woulnt matter i dont think.
if I was making a controller, id connect the two ends of the pot to +3.3 and ground, and the slider to the controller IC. the pot would act as a voltage divider, and the IC would read a votlage somewhere between +3.3 and ground, depending on the position of the pot.
in that case the value wouldnt matter.
but i dont know that for certain. but it makes the most sense.

Okay... I don't have that controller, so I don't know the values. This is what I know.
Gamecube joysticks appear to measure out at about 5K each pot. The N64 controller I used had a 10K pot in it, yet the 5K works fine. There are several SEVERAL different ways third party joysticks are wired up... but as long as it uses pots, there should be a way to wire up that Gamecube joystick.

Same here. My ideas are coming together. Slowly but surely...I might make a diagram
