Game System Tally: Exactly what and how many systems?

Post by MM007 »

I recently did a tally of all the systems that I currently own (not including non cartridge based handhelds like Space Invaders or the cheaper cartridge based mediums you find out there like Wheel of Fortune), and wondered if it would be interesting to see what everyone has and how many of each they have. ^^

Here is my list....

*note: games with asterisked dates are production years, while dates with no asterisks mean it is printed on the system as made that very year(pair of years in the case of the SFA, which was a long project). Dates with question marks are ranges with a slight margin of error.

Systems I currently own:

Mattel Intellivision (Type I, boxed, 1979-81*)

Atari VCS (heavy-sixer, 1980)

Atari VCS (four-switch, 1981)

Commodore 64 a.k.a. C-64 with 1541 disk drive(all boxed, 1982-86*)

GCE Vectrex (1982, built in ROM game. Vector graphics system!)

Atari 2600 (boxed, 1984)

Nintendo Entertainment System a.k.a. NES (Type-I / "front loader", 1985-88*)

Nintendo Entertainment System a.k.a. NES (Type-I / "front loader", 1985-88*)

Sega Master System (Type-I, 1986-88?*)

Atari 7800 (1988)

Nintendo Game Boy a.k.a. GB (1989-1994*)

Super Nintendo Entertainment System a.k.a. SNES (Type-I, 1989-1993?*)

Nintendo Virtual Boy (1995-96?*)

Sony PlayStation a.k.a. PSX (Initial design in 1989, prototyping in 1991, Proto Rev. 2 1993, sold 1995-1999?*)

Nintendo 64 a.k.a. N64 (boxed, Type-1 / black model, 1996-1999?*)

Systems I have owned at one time but no longer own for one reason or another:

Sega Game Gear (black, 1989-?*. Some company has the rights to the Sega Game Gear and last I heard is producing them.)

Sega Game Gear (blue, 1989-?*. Some company has the rights to the Sega Game Gear and last I heard is producing them. This one was some sort of special model...)

Yeah I thought we did something like this, wasnt sure if it was this forum or the old. If it was here its most likely in the SNES forum than, it was the off topic place before 42.
