I am happy with it :D I recommend it to anybody who has a Gamecube, it's so easy and even if you don't plan to use it, it can only raise the Ebay value.

Does anybody know of any other FREE gamecube mods that can be done with just solder and wires and various other stuff that I most likely have in my workshop. Overclocking maybe?

here is the inside, It was so easy I almost feel guilty  . actually the soldering was tough, because those solder points were Tiny but it only took like ten minutes with dremeling and all. I had tons of wire and a spare switch laying around so I went for it.

no actually I drilled out the holes large enough that I could fit an allen head screwdriver down there and get those nintendo screws out. there is a certain size of allen head thet is just the right size to barley grip those nintendo screws. I then replaced them with phillips.

I don't know how much more value it will have, I haven't tried to sell it yet, but I would say $15-$20 added value, you'd pay that much or more for a modchip that could do this, and that is not including service fees, because most people are not like us and don't do things for themselves. I'd say $20 on for the buyer would be a good deal after what all the costs to have it done for you would cost.

EDIT: by the way, if you do plan to do this, make sure that your solder tip is tiny, because those leads are absolutly tiny, I had to dremel my tip to a much more fine tip to even do this mod.

I don't know if you can do it on a PAL gamecube, because you cna't make it region free, this mod only allows you toplay Japanese imports.
