Positive / negative ends of the battery

(concerning battery only, not Dc jack) I know that the positive end of the battery -> power switch -> regulator -> nes

But i don't really understand where i connect the negative end to

The negative spot on the nes board (which i cant seem to locate)? Ground? Both?

for most DC circuits, the negative terminal of the battery is ground. So just connect it to the ground on the NES

I have had issues with ground wiring, and if you are working with a screen (PSONE for example) you may have a simmilar problem. The problem is that you can use small wires to connect the power to each device individualy, but if they must share the same ground you have to be sure that you have wires that can carry enough current, or else nothing will power up. Does that make sense? Hmm, I am even having a little difficulty understanding myself sometimes, so good luck anyway.
