Summer Camp! (Or summer studies, whatever floats your boat)

Anyone else going besides me? I'm going to Michigan Tech for their 1337 video game programming course, as seen here: http://youthprograms.mtu.edu/syp/displa ... p?exp=3147
I signed up for a class about a year older than me, so I've been working my ass off with my C++ skills so I'm up to par with the other guys....I hope they don't use much Java !

I was gonna go to IDTech camps, but my friend is going to MTU for the medical physiology, so we figured it'd be fun. Plus, after classes, you get 6 or 7 hours to do any of the following:
Play golf on any of MTU's 3 PGA certified courses (I'm a golfer )
Play with any motherboard you can get your hands on
Dink around with computers more powerful than even Marshall's brain
Be bussed to the movie theater for any movie you wish to see
And they'll take you to the mall on request (GameStop and RadioShack, here I come!)

Anyways, I guess IDTech will wait 'till next year. It does look cool, though, because they've got a 3 week long gaming academy in California, where you not only learn programming and play games, but go to the headquarters of Square-Enix, Lucasarts, and EA (yuck) to learn how things REALLY work. Cool, eh?

I'm in freakin summer PE, although its not too bad I guess. We pretty much play games all morning like lacrosse, softball, etc. and even swimming.

now ive escaped the penitary that was compulsory education im going to spend my summer on the beach with my friends and maybe find a job if i get of my lazy ass and look for one or until im skint again whihc is probably the most likely

I used to have to go on summer play schemes when i was younger because both my parents work, man i hated them

I could actually use this summer. Need to get the 50 hours of driving in for my license, plus I would like to get a job to buy some more RAM (512 MB doesn't run some apps well). Unfortunately, I'm being dragged on a trip with my parents and am being forced to learn German. I'd like to learn a foreign language, but I'm just not good at them…

College courses (getting into server administration) and working (to pay for said courses).

Of course I'll spend my free time screwing around with the junk PCs in my garage, and deleting spam here. And working on my long-overdue website overhaul. (I've added a shoutbox and a real news / reply system! *shock and amazement*)

Man you're lucky! I'm going to summer school!!! WOOOO! Not really.. Drivers ed and PE, but it shall pay off in the end. I'm graduating a year early Yay for being smart.

I've really wanted to go to one of those programming classes, but no way i'd ever be able to get enouhg money for that, though if I saved up from my job this summer... pfft, me, saving up? HA! lol.

Also hoping to be working on a PSOneP, if I can get some money, those DS games are expencive(just got a DS) and not to mention my grass... So many things to buy! So little money! bah :/
