I signed up for a class about a year older than me, so I've been working my ass off with my C++ skills so I'm up to par with the other guys....I hope they don't use much Java
I was gonna go to IDTech camps, but my friend is going to MTU for the medical physiology, so we figured it'd be fun. Plus, after classes, you get 6 or 7 hours to do any of the following:
Play golf on any of MTU's 3 PGA certified courses (I'm a golfer
Play with any motherboard you can get your hands on
Dink around with computers more powerful than even Marshall's brain
Be bussed to the movie theater for any movie you wish to see
And they'll take you to the mall on request (GameStop and RadioShack, here I come!)
Anyways, I guess IDTech will wait 'till next year. It does look cool, though, because they've got a 3 week long gaming academy in California, where you not only learn programming and play games, but go to the headquarters of Square-Enix, Lucasarts, and EA (yuck) to learn how things REALLY work. Cool, eh?
So what are you guys doing for summer?
