what kind? 1, 2, or 3?
if it's 1 than plug a stereo thing in the microphone thing. Or you could buy a headphone plug to audio cable. But if it's not 1 then... I don't know

hmm... I just remembered that my AV cable before didn't work only because the DIN plug pins were bent. If the cable itself is fine it's obviously in the inside. Can you tell me/others (or show by a pic) what the inside under the thing you plug the AV cable into? (on the backside of the I think the female plug). It's possible that's a problem too.

Ver. 2...I seriously think it's the cable...because, maybe a pins for audio are worn out.

If you have a spare RCA cable laying around that will be cheap. Chop one end off and solder the audio R/L and the composite to the points on the Genesis. Then you always have the A/V cable with it. One other thing is be sure to lock that cable down inside the case with a little slack, don't know who might just yank on the cable and rip it from the solder points.

I have a few RCA cables around, but they are either audio (R) and Video
or Audio (l) and Audio (R) and Video.

Which one should I use? the one with 3 plugs or 2 plugs??

Thanks.

3 plugs is not necessary unless you've modded your Genesis to output stereo.

EDIT: By the way, the one with yellow and white (mono) is audio (L) and video (C).

I had the same problem with my genesis 2. It was the RF adapter, which was disconected internaly. Try Ebay for a new one.
