Xbox Portable (This Summer)
Well I have to say I love the xbox with Halo2 out now. Way to much fun. I am planning on making a portable xbox if you couldn't tell from the title. I'm going to use these metal cases that I found at Office Max. I am going to strip it down and put that in with these 7000 mAh 6 volt batteries that I found online. Then I need to find a 12 volt 12 to 14 inch screen. Use a laptop hard drive in place of the old one. I might put a mod chip in so I can have linux on it or I will leave a mod chip out so I can do xbox live because that is what I love about the xbox so much. I could use xbox connect but there aren't any stats and I would need a laptop to run it through (my parents laptop, hehehe). So can any one help me with the screen and modchip or no modchip. I already have an xbox live account and am afraid that if I do it on a nother xbox they will kick me off of it, which I really do not want.
You don't have to worry about the world ending tomorrow, it's already tomorrow in Australia

Looks like a mix between the Hip Geat screen, the PSP and the Xbox. A most un-holy child indeed.
Anyways, if you want to still use the Xbox-live than you'll need them to think the hard drive in your box is the same. Go to Xbox-scene and look under it tourtorials they have a guide to use a Dos computer to bless the new hard drive witht the code of the old one. This way the xbox doesnt need a modchip and you can stay away from the possiblity of being banned from Xbox-live

I don't think replacing the drive is possible (to my knowledge) most drives can't read the disk... I think.
One way: chip it, backup games, remove DVD drive, and portablize it.
what is the smallest hardrive avalable over 50 gigs?
Also, If an xbox is portablized, would you keep the ethernet?
