Since the gba actually had the gbc hardware in it to play the games I doubt the ds could play them since it lacks that hardware. That is unless there is a built in emulator for them. Of course I'm sure if this is the case nintendo would've released thd ds with the emulator activated for more selling power.

Or they would have released an attachment later with the emulator on it.
