the triple portable

Post by Krepticor »

hey i am in the process of getting my triple portable off the ground

Thought i would just inform the forums of what i got and what i need
I do have my n64 most of the way done, just need a screen(i actually have one on the way)

Anyway, i need a SNES mini, a YOBO, and batteries

Also i need a bunch of misc parts which i have recently priced on digikey

shipping would be about $5~9

to tell the truth that is not everything i need I still would need fans and a heatsink for the 64 and possibly a few trimpots for the audio amp i am planing to build (thanks to Segasonicfan) also i need leds for the screen (plan to buy em where usbcd32 said to and do a six led mod, it just looked too good not to do) what else... uhhhhhhh i actually have diodes and inductors lying around

Anyway what do you think? never though all those little things would be that price...

so far i have spent about $40 for the screen $10 for the n64 and $15 for a n64 controller

It is Mad Katz with an actual copyright of 2005!

Main reason was for the potz...

I second that, it's a hell lot smaller then an NES and SNES AND an N64.

Actually, it's not any better. It's simply a custom SNES board with a NOAC hot glued in place. Plus, the video quality is terrible.

Also, finding one would run you a few hundred dollars, and at that rate, you won't want to tear it apart. :?

I am soooo anal about my video :D

anyway i have actually found that this would not be all that large

The largest thing would probably the battery

A mini SNES and a NOAC with a case with most of the large stuff removed...

Trust me a Tristar just doesn't seem right to me either(trust me i thought about it forever...)

Digital Press sold the one that was in their store already.
[edit] But that's totally irrelevant because Skyler was talking about a completely different store.

a SNES mobo is only slightly larger than a N64 mobo and a yobo is barley anything

Also if i use 4021 Ic's for the SNES and the NES controllers then have tact switches in parallel and the mad katz n64 controller board is barely anything at all also i plan to save space by using the already shrink wrapped controller cords

also i do recognize the fact that it will be larger than the average portable and i have come to terms to that

Anyway i am doing this even if it takes forever!
