Next Project for me...

Post by Sword_Gun »

Hey, this is gonna be a next project for awhile...

Im trying to fit a GBP (Game Boy Pocket), inside of a Texas Instruments TI-30Xa (heres a Pic: http://www.chembio.niu.edu/electrochem/TI%2030Xa.jpg )

Im doing this becuase I think the GBP is really cool, and I want to play GBP in class without the teacher knowing. (She doesnt know much about Electronics But, Hiding it in a calculator.. hehe)

I have a Few questions.

The gameboy pocket is too thick for the Case of the calculator... How could I fit the gameboy in? (Like maybe put the gameboy in, and fill in the sides with excess plastic?)

and

How can I make the buttons fit? (Like the A and B buttons will be + and - buttons, How can I do that, since the + and - buttons are like 2 inches away from where the A and B buttons would be?)

And I also have another project...
I want to make a Converter that will make my DS play GB games... (Through the GBA Cart slot), How can I do that?

Thanks.

edit by mod: I fixed the link so it works properly. To be safe, always put spaces before and after URLs. The link detector is good, but not perfect. -bic

no this doesn't mean you're in trouble. : P

TI Project - Don't bother. If you have a destructedified TI and your playing with it, she'll notice anyway.

DS/GB thing - Doesn't work. Sorry! (Trust me, I'd be playing Mario Tennis for GBC all day if it did..)

I think the batteries are the thickest part. To make it thin (and tall) you can detatch the ribbon cable from the back of the LCD (just un folding it pretty much). It works on GBC and GBA screens so that you could relocate them.

It would be a good summer project. You could make several and sell them at the beginning of next school year. People might want at least a GBC, though.
