PSU - and +

one of my N64 PSUs has a broken plug so i'm using it for something else (if you want details, ask but that's not importnant now). anyway, i ended up desolder the 2 big wires that plug into the wall so it would be easier to work with but now i need to reconnect them and forgot which one goes where. where does the striped wire go and where does the plain wire go?
EDIT: nevermind, i figured it out

The striped wire goes to the hole marked "N", and the black wire goes to the "L" hole. If you have a different revision adapter, it may vary. If there are no markings, the UNSTRIPED wire should connect to the fuse.

it shouldnt matter. ac power dosent have + or -...

or am i not getting something

well, AC is just alternating current, so yeah, it usually doesn't matter, but sometimes there is a ground that one of the lines connects to in case of a short or blown fuse somewhere...

something like that, I dunno
