Does this screen have similar/close to exact guts as the PSOne screen?

Ended at 45 w/shipping. Not a great deal but not horrible. Were you the winner?

BTW, from what I hear all Zenith screens have essentially the same guts as a PSone screen.

Ya, I got it. They were about $10 more everywhere else, so I figured why not? Plus, I'm super desperate for a PSOne screen right now.

The guts are almost identical. I've worked with both. There's an added (really huge) capacitor on the zenith that isn't on the sony

Pretty much any screen is hackable. It's just that PSOne screens have so many resoucres around to hack them.

It is the same screen, but there are a few differences you should know about (I think)

1) There's a sepereate board with a regulator. It hooks up to a s/m capacitor, and not the fuse.

2) It's wired a bit differently. It's no big deal, and the PCB is exactly the same, but when you do the LED Mod there are a few power problems.

3) There's a decoupling capacitor on it. This isn't really needed, but it's nice to have.

4) THE WIRING SKIPS THE FUSE. REWIRE THE POWER.

Thanks. Great info, I'll probably need it when hacking this thing. And since this is here, does anyone know how many volts the Gamecube Intec screen takes?

12 volts i think.........(Gamecube uses that much) If not, i wouldnt go any higher than 9 volts
