I performed a ps1 screen LED mod, but I accidentally short-circuited the leads on one of the LED's. needless to say it didn't work. The scary part is that the resistor got so hot that it melted the solder connecting it! the good news is it acted as a fuse and cut off the current.
different topic. I blew one of the fuses on the board, so I removed it and placed solder between the contacts. The one in the book. Problem is, I messed up one beside it and was forced to do the same. will this pose a problem in the future? It works fine now, before the screen kept changing colors and had little lines going everywhere, and a flicker in the corner.
