The ULTIMATE SPITBALL LAUNCHER!!!

Post by Fanboy »

Well, I'm working on the Ultimate Spitball Launcher, as the title says, and would like to know if anyone could help me think of some more aditions to it. Here's some info on what I'm working with, the barrel is roughly 1cm diameter and 9 7/10cm length. It came from one of the pens with 4 different colors, so I can launch 4 different spiballs at the sametime. Give me ideas for a mod to make it better (i.e. target?)... Technical launchers (specifically pocket sized ones) of any kind are getting big at my school, so I figured, "Why not an advanced spitball launcher?"

Shooting four at once? You mean like a spitball shotgun?
If you ask me, I'd work on either one that shoots really far, or a rapid-fire one. You could make the hi-powerd one by having it actually be airtight when you blow into it for lots of pressure, then you press some pressure release button (I'd call it a trigger) and that spitball should go the way of sputnik!

I want to keep this thing portable as possible, so no ginormous attachments. Also, it would be difficult to attach a trigger to this, see how it's only 1cm thick... We use stuff like this at lunch, and launch them at each other... My friends mostly just make "Advanced rubberband launchers, mine will be the spitball launcher!

EDIT: I've been searching around and found a hollow metal rod that's the perfect width, I'm hoping to cut it up and Bondo them together for added barrel length...

You could use something similar to a supersoaker or a nerf gun to make a high powered gun. You could also adapt this to it.

It's a homemade nerf gun, but if you use a smaller pipe, it should shoot spitballs. Just incase you're wondering why I know this much about nerf guns, me and my friends mod nerf guns and play with them. It's like paintball, just cheaper and easier to do at parks and schools.

i had one that worked realy well until they tock it and sent me to the princapales for a wepon at school

you take one of those retractable erasor pens and put 2 springs in the bottom, then put a cap on the bottom non shoting side, then you have a high powerd spitball or arisoft pistol gun.

i will make a pic latter.

edit:

Hah. I remember in 5th grade or something I got a friend to come over and me and him made this automatic spitball gun, can't remember where I got the idea from though. Heres the plans:

You take a pen and cut a hole shaped like this through both its sides :

Code: Select all

 _____
|_____|

Then you take a straw and cut it up into lotsa small pieces that fit perfectly through the hole you cut in the pen.

Then you line the straws up on a table making sure they are all the same length, and lay a strip of tape over them so they stay together. Then do the same for the bottom.

It should look like this when looked at directly: OOOOOOO

There's your magazine. :D

Load it up with the good stuff.

Now stick one end of the magazine you created into the hole in the pen and blow as you run it across SLOWLY. Most of them will come out, run it back and forth a few times to get all of them.

Man those were the days. :D

Have fun

I'm interested in a lot of those designs, Madc0w... Since you're the Air gun master, could you maybe help me design an airgun that's hand held, needs no pumping... But is very small...

EDIT: A wasp is basically just a simple crossbow, I used to make them all of the time, but I'm hoping for something more effecient...

Not master, But i could give you an easy design. This is how it would work

Code: Select all

_ _______
_[o]_______]- <Small peice of PVC pipe (6") with an end cap attached and a bike valve screwed through
   ^
Ball Valve (or other more powerfull valve)
Then attach a bike pump to it and a small peice of PVC pipe (like two or three inches) with a large straw in the middle

Me and a friend aren't allowed airsoft or paintball so i made this amazing hornet launcher. Used a rubber band from those balsa wood planes, put brace's little rubber bands on the tips to hold the band in one spot on my fingers. I wrapped up notecards perfectly tight and they almost go through dry wall.
THey were too painfull to use though...
