I was wondering how you get the RGB into a pin or wire or somethin...
Because I only know where the yellow, red, and white are on the system (on the backside of the gen.)
P.S And if you know, I would prefer it if you told me where the RGB is on the back of the console, but if you don't know, that's fine.

ok um... I'll revise this ques. a little bit. How does anyone get their RGB signals??? Like, do they solder a wire to the main board or do they get something to plug into the AV socket?? help would be appreciated... meow
P.S I'm not doing a gen. 1, I'm doing a gen. 3, but it doesn't really matter too much, well yah it does, but you get the idea.

Even though it says 2, 32x and Nomad, it is the same with 3.

I don't know where the RGB on the back of the motherboard is, but you can easily find it using the test and retry method, just keep testing connections until you find RGB + Sync + Ground.

Oh and by the way; your title should be:

okeydokey... so anyway (this is a stupid question that I may have posted someplace else but...) what is sync? and
2) where do you get 5 volts? and
3) is red the same red as standard phono plugs (default ones the company gives you in the package) and
4) if red is the same as standard phono plug red thingy (confuzing wording), what's stereo L and R???

1) You don't get 5v. Just solder the wires to the corresponding pins at where they poke through the board.

2) No, they are very different.

3) Stereo L/R are in the normal spots. Look at the pinout that Skyone gave.

You attach a wire, see if it works. If it doesn't, go back and do it again!

okey dokey, thankies... but what's C-Sync... er to rephrase that,
1)what does the C-Sync do to the system that you can recognize when testing???
oh ya and
2) like the PSone screen I guess I get the 5 volt somewhere on the PCB, but which pins do I solder too.

This is technically the gen. 2 I got from G-Force's page (again...) but this is what it looks like (exactly) on the Gen. 3 PCB.

edit: do you get the 5 volts from the 7805? if so is it the output?

C-Sync is needed to run RGB. Just connect it to the C-Sync input on the PSone screen.

What is the 5v for? To run the Genesis? If you want to run it off of five volts you would use the output from the 7805.
