analog stick wtfness

yea my analog stick is not working but thats not all i can still operate the controlls! but not via the stick

here goes the story lol, i had to hack off a bunch of the conroller including the analog stick connector bit, im pretty sure i got the wires attacked ok but the weird thing is the stick doesnt work but i can move around menus and stuff in perfect dark (testing wiht ohter n64 at the moment) by touching the pins on the connecter part i hacked off and attached to the analog stick, i cant figure this out!

Maybe get an new analog of lik-sang. (ebay.) Maybe this one fried.

ive tested it with more than one stick, its weird maybe it has to do with the way the stick works or something? or the fact the analog stick is on extended wires i dunno any ideas would be helpful

check ground wires on your extensions. I extended my analog stick and one of the grounds came off inside of the electrical tape and it took me a while to figure out what was wrong

Ive got the same problem, except I short circuted something and now when ever I turn my n64p on the voltage is in the low 6's, and when I turn it off, its in the 7.2-5 range...wtf

now it works perfect for a while then gets messed up! lol i will solve it
