First, accept that if something does get fried, it is your fault.
Then tell her it'll be worth 4 times as much as it costs to make.

All I can say is.. good luck with that. Your mom probably has no clue what you're talking about, once you make a portable on your dime she might have a second thought, but don't count on it. The best I can recommend is getting a job.

Heh, sucker  . My dad funded my first portable because it was an educational experience. Try playing that card. My second one I am having to chip in some money, but only for games to play on the system; it's for the science fair, so since it's school related, I don't have to pay for it either!
Also, explain to her that the term "fried" doesn't mean burst up in flames or start a fire; well, unless you're just a crappy portablizer!

Oh. Well, the odds of frying a portable are very low, unless you are using a cheap NOAC like the Super Joy or Mega Joy. What exactly would you be portablizing, anyways?

EDIT: I thought of a better title. Use this: "How can I convince my mom I can make a portable?"

How is your mom stupid for not paying for everything you want? Cut some grass and pay for it yourself.
I'm the man, if you don't think so, you're wrong.

Wow, quite ambitious for a first. However, I can't say anything against it, though, seeing as Harshboy did a GCp as his first, and plenty of people have done N64p's as their first. Just keep in mind, it will be hard. Also, the N64 is really easy to fry, so be careful!
