Claw Game

Y'no those claw games you see at some places where you move a joystick and control a claw and grab stuffed animals or something?

I want to make one.

Any ideas/pointers on how to contro lthe claw?

I was thinking motors, and tacts set up in such a way that when you went left it turned the motor one way, and right reversed the current flow.

I especially need ideas on how to make the claw drop/grab.
