Yeah I think so just use a regular resistor thats the same amount as the old pot I think......

You misunderstand.It snapped in half.The bottom part is still on the Gamecube.

Actually, if just the PRONGS broke, you're ok, but if the whole pot broke you're screwed and in a medical mishap

I just tried to turn it on.The fan starts spinning,but the disc doesn't move.

if it's out of the case, make sure that the disk drive isn't plugged into the gamecube motherboard completely. the same thing happened to me. If it is plugged in too much, it won't work
