Batt question

Post by CronoTriggerfan »

Due to budget restraints, my NESp has to use ni-cd batteries. The system has in it a Yobo US game console, A PSOne LCD screen w/LED mod, and a Yobo controller (the one that comes w/the system. How many RadioShack Ni-Cd AA batteries (1.2 volts, 1000mAh) would I need to run the unit, and how much play time would I get?

Here's the batteries: http://www.radioshack.com/product/index ... age=search

PSone screen (LEDed) - 350
NES clone - 150 (this is a guess)
----------
Total - 600 mA

Facture in that you need 7.2v, so that's 6 batteries in series. You will be able to get about an hour an a half. That is if the NES clone doesn't consume more then 150mA an hour, if it is less however you'll have more play time.

Good luck.

P.S. For future knowledge, post battery related question in the forum for which the project fits, a.k.a in the NES forum for this one.
