questions about plastic molding

I finnaly almost kinda sorta got around to thinking about planing to make a case so I have some questions about plastic molding I was thinking wood at first but screw that

so here are my questions

what type of plastic should I use?

what would be a good sorce for the type of plastic I should use?

what would be a good way to melt it down?

and I think I have desided on the best way to make a mold that would work for me but I would like to hear about what other people do

ABS 1/4" thick if your gonna use screws.
