You don't remember SEGA's entry into handheld gaming. Its basically a portable Master System, but with a passive screen (low quality), and diffrent cartridges. It lost to the Game Boy because of its high cost, bad battery life, small game selection. You don't have to answer if you don't want to, but out of curiosity how old are you? I just find it hard to believe that someone who lived (if you did) through the handheld wars wouldn't know what a Game Gear is. No problem if you did though.

Hi everybody it's been awhile and i've been so busy with work these's days but i've finally got some spare time to work on my gamecube in a gamegear portable i have just one BIG porblem THE F*ING CASING i just can't make it to have a clean look i don't know if you have seen the pson2 portable and snes portable of this guy who made a casing like it was mad out of the factory where can i get somethong like that done??

anybody some info about making a good case i've been looking around but i just can't get it to look nice

that'd probably be snesguy's snesp mk2 and dkaps psonep they vac formed and it can definitly give some great results

I think he's talking about the guy who made the 2 big websites(very nice, professional sites) for both his portables(the guy made both the PS1 and SNES) and the SNES was landscape in a white case(can't remember the name though).

Have you tried using Bondo Marine Putty? You can fill rather large gaps with it and it's about as strong as hard plastic.

Did you get the PSone screen working after all that hacking?

yeah that's the one the guy who send a couple of hundered for the casing i want to get one of those ofcourse my design does anybody know where you can get something like that?

and yes everything works perfectly and fits in the gamegear case it's just a bit thicker

this is what i have til now:

heatsink cut in half so i have more space two small fans to compensate for the heatsink
all the boards cut to fit inside of the gamegear so that's the psone board, motherboard of gamecube, gba player board, ethernet adapter board, lens board, controller board, and a viper gc extreme modchip to play my legal backuped games and games from different regions. the chip also has a usb 2.0 connection for bidirectional streaming very handy for hombrew.

everything works good i also have alright batterylife not the best there is cause i use very small batterys but good enough for now i thinki have about 4200mah 14.4 volt somthing like that

and seeing everything works it;s alright but make a desenct casing is just too hard i mean i have allot of connection sticking out of the boards like the gba slot , 4 controller ports , 2 memorycards, gba link port, usb port, ethernet port, headphone port, volume butten etc....

too much to carve out the the gamegear case i tries but to make it look clean just doens't work soooooooooooo

i need to make a case that that guy did i don't care about the price of the casing seeing as it all works and look good casue it is extremely small big screen desent batterylife and ahs everything you could imagine in it i magt make more of the to sell

if anybody could please help me in making a case i'd be very gratfull and i might make one for the person who can help me for a nice price

well anyway i'll be looking for places to make a case but they all don't do small projects like mine only big ones
