Ok well im almost decided on using a Retro Duo or FC twin i hear the Retro Duo is better. I want to know the advantages and disadvantages of using it. Also is there and RGB mod for it.
I know that there is combatability problems on it but only for a few games. But its also easy to find IE The exchange which they don't have any mini's. Also i know that its ligher than the Mini.

FC Twin is smaller, Retro Duo has better compatibility. The FC Twin has better build quality and looks nicer but that doesn't matter in a portable.

I tried wiring the power w/o looking at the diagram for a few months because i thought i remembered it... i put the negative where the positive went in at the plug and the negative on the power out... and i tried wiring it up normal and with batteries and nothing... *cries* i ruined a board in 2 hours... now i am on another hold.

Palmertech is saying that if you bypass a certain fuse, your snes will still be alive, because you just blew a fuse instead of ruining the whole system. This won't work on an n64 because all of the fuses are in the psu, not on the board itsself.

That is it, and you can tell as there is a marking next to it called "F1", or Fuse #1. Try bridging that with some wire or solder.

Another question, is the 7805 on the SNES originally and the 7805 that you buy from radio shack the same?

I don't see why it wouldn't be. Are they both labled 7805 or are you just assuming that they're both 7805's?

If they both say 7805, they are both 7805's. If it's not working, make sure you have it oriented correctly (be sure pin 1 does not connect to pin 3, etc.) As for the fuse, just bridge the gap with solder, and just make sure you don't blow the fuse again.
The Rubik's Cube fad can go die in pit.
