a couple years ago I worked at a research lab as a "fellowship", or something like that. I got paid $7 an hour, or so, and could work whenever I wanted, as long as I got a total amount of hours in. it was really laid back, too, I just worked on...researching all day . (ok, so it was more like "busy work", but STILL!!)
