We used to have a thing called Gametrader here in Louisiana.
Gamestop bought them out
They had every old game under the sun
But at outrageous prices.

Chrono Trigger for SNES was $136!!!!!!

We used to have a store called playerone that had took in pretty much anything. Prices were reasonable. They even sold imported DBZ games for the psone and the converter needed to play it.

It is not junk! It is assorted goods with no current use.

Apparently you can even order stuff online and pick it up in-store and pay in cash. awesome.
What state do you live in?
Virginia. 12 miles or so away from DC.

we used to have one called rhino games. it was the best store in the world, because everything was cheap. brand new 360/ps3 games for 40 bucks, [all of them, not just the ones that nobody has ever heard of] and most ps2/xbox/gc games for 10$, and nes and such for really cheap, think .50 cents, and ps1/n64 for under 5 bucks!

unfortunantly, they went out of business, because they werent making money. it was sad. i cried. then i cut myself. then i commited suicide.(im better now. )

Only one "classic games" place around here, and actually, I help out quite a bit there (not an employee though).
It's actually where I get my near endless supply of N64s

The games are pretty well priced, and they carry anything from the Atari 2600 on, all the way up to 360/Wii/PS3 games now.

NOTHING in this place is new except for the comic books, ALL of the games and systems are used ones.
The systems themselves are INCREDIBLY cheap, wonderfully cheap.
Gamecube with a DRE: $8 - $20 depending on it's condition.
Xbox without a harddrive: $30.
NES with a bad cartridge slot: $8 - $15.

I actually got my first (and last) Virtual Boy there!
And they now have the same one for sale again

GameStop is okay... I shop there every once in a while. As long as you're looking for things PS2-era and above, they're not too bad; prices are decent and they have a good selection, though you're probably not going to find any of the more uncommon games. I still prefer Game Crazy as far as chain stores go. Game Force, a local store, beats them all because they've got a large selection of older stuff and get things like the Saturn and Sega CD every once in a while, and their prices are good. The best of all, though, is Play 'N' Trade. A great mix of old and new and at very good prices. Heck, I bought a boxed 32X with a copy of "Star Wars Arcade" from them for $20, and I know some of you heard about the PSone with a screen, AV/Power cables, two controllers, three novelty memory cards, and a carrying case for it all that I bought from them for just $40.

In all, GameStop < Game Crazy < Game Force < Play 'N' Trade.

Woah! Arvada, Colorado? I live there. For retro gamer Coloradans, there 2 stores named Game Xplosion, one in Westminster, and one in Aurora. I've only been to the Westy store but the selection is incredible, 300+snes, 200+genesis, Master system, sega cd, saturn, dreamcast games and lots more. The prices are fair, $20 for complete Gunstar Heroes, $5 Uniracers.

Play-N-Trade is pretty cool too but the one by me has a pretty limited retro selection.
