I know both of those rules!!@ then when she castled, and I called an illegal move, our chess lady ( she wanted the chick to win of course ) supervising claimed I was making up rules, like en passant, the castling rule, and queen takes it's own color rule. Of course I lost, every time I called an illegal move, or anything like that, the supervisor shot it down.

Well, if they ignore those rules, then I say its not worth trying to win. It's pointless, really. Those rules are there for a reason.

That's what both my chess playing friends say. It still pisses me off that it was such a close game, even though I had to work around some of my main strategy points. The game ended in a stalemate, but I said copulate it I won't play another game.

Sorry that you had such a bad experience. Better luck next time. Maybe you'll have an opponent who actually knows and follows the rules (Cuz we all know that simply knowing the rules is pointless. You have to follow them as well. lol).
