Alright I guess I'll be purchasing this one, and I suppose it doesn't come with a protection circuit. I still have to learn which one to use and how to use them then. The only thing I do know is it keeps it from being over charged. So wheres the guide for using protection circuits.

That one does come with a protection circuit, look at the bottom pic of it and also it's in the description

*FACEPALM* Sorry, I hate when this happens, I thought you had to buy protection circuits for every battery on battery space. Grrrr, this happens to me so much. I don't pay attention when I read and I get burned. Well thanks for the help guys.

in stead of that you could use two philips pet1002 batteries with a step up regulator. they are 7.4 volts at 7200mah each. ive got one sitting on my lap right now, it is six cells, and they already look like they are set up to output two different voltages. i have seen em on ebay for under 40$ a piece.

I already thought of that, but I couldn't find a regulator for 12 volts with a more than 2 amp rating, so yeah, that won't work.

Now, if your not willing to spend the money to get decent batteries you won't get what you want.

The cube's powerboard will run off 11.1v, but no less than 10v. You only get 2 hours off a 6.4Ah Li-ion powering the cube(though original powerboard) + a PSO screen.

Now, to answer this question :

why do you guys make a separate voltage line for each line the gameube takes, why not just run the battery through the + and ground of the power board and fan?

No one has successfully done that, every single GCp ever made has used the original powerboard, and no one has yet to be successful using TI regs(tried) or linear rregulators(without severe heat problems)SS

don't compromise on your battery, as anything below 4.5 mAh isn't worth it, and as SS said, 6.5 Ah only gets you around 2 hours, even with an LED mod. So, I'd recommend you look at replacement surface mount camcorder li-ion batteries; they're cheap, and they're great. Don't worry, you can cut the plastic off, and if you got something around 6 Ah, then you only have four small-shaped cells.
Try searching around for that.

Didn't I just say that? Using 2 camcorder batteries won't work because I can't find a regulator rated for a current of 3.6 amps. And I don't know how to build my own regulator to get a good amperage rating. It would be nice to use 2 camcorder batteries. But first I need a regulator to bring 15 volts down to 12 or 11 with plenty of room for amperage. I don't know the max voltage for the cube so I'm not going to risk it.

Ignore the post above me. According to kasar's guide I can run the cube safely with 14.8 volts. Now I know what to do with the batteries. Now, there is one problem. Charging both batteries at once with one stock charger. The system will be off when charging just so you know.

Wait, I figured it out, just get a smart charger from battery space. Ok, now I know what to do. In all it will be $80 instead of $120

It can actually handle up to 16 volts.
Just wanted to point that out.
