Ok, I'll try tonight and hopefully have a good result...

I have removed the left ps2 pot (analog stick) and hooked up a new psp nub just like the diagram below (minus the pot, I just soldered the wires directly to the board). So far the left side is a success, all except for the right stick is now "stuck" moving in the right direction. Hopefully when I replace that pot with a second psp nub, that problem too will be fixed... I hope. I'll let you know if it does the trick.
