Nah, about half of em are true, but since there are so many different ones, no one knows what to think. Except, of course, those who read the torrent.sgtpepper wrote:Triton, how do you know what happens? Did you read it, or are you thinking the spoiler sites out there are true? I'll just tell you now, they're all made up crap so far...
A day ago when the leak happened and all the rumors started going around, I was in an XBL room and someone joins the party and starts screaming off spoilers. Then a moment later, on AIM, 2 or 3 people message me a list saying XXX dies on page YYY, etc. That was when I knew I'd have to read the leaked book.
There are quite a few spoilers floating around Youtube, MySpace, and of course Potter fan-sites - the real ones.sgtpepper wrote:Triton, how do you know what happens? Did you read it, or are you thinking the spoiler sites out there are true? I'll just tell you now, they're all made up crap so far...
I'm camping out at Barnes & Nobles with a friend tomorrow, ya.

Agreed. I used to be a big fan, but after reading about 300 pages of this final installment and cheating a bit to find out what happens in the end, I'm not exactly thrilled with how she ended the series.Triton wrote:there are MUCH better books out there!
Meh, whatever. I saw the movie at midnight, and I'm going with some friends tomorrow at midnight to check out what's going on. Hell, half the people going with us don't even like the books!

My parents bought me the first two books years ago... before the series was even that popular, and I only read the first half of the first book.
Then I saw the first two movies... I have no further experience with the series.
Oh, wait... my parents bought me some PS1 Harry Potter game a while back too... that was before anybody in our family knew enough about videogames to know NOT to buy licensed games... most of the time.
Also not to buy games without reading reviews first...

I ordered it from amazon.com a few days ago, having it delivered on the day it comes out to my grandma's house (where I'm staying; right now I'm using my uncle's MacBook stealing wifi from someone
). I've gone out of my way to avoid spoilers (freaked out when it was on the Colbert Report last night) and will most likely confine myself to a room and read nonstop for hours until I finish it. I'm looking forward to it tremendously.

just FYI guys, whoever said "who takes the time to take a picture of every page???? :O" didnt even know. There are now fully transcribed PDF versions available on thepiratebay - someone took the time to type the whole book out!
the file is <2megs, way better than those digital camera shots.
I flipped through it and read the ending, it wasn't that great or original.
does anyone know what 'deus ex machina' is?
