Probably won't work all too well. The Wiimote has 3 axises. Joysticks can only have two... just think about it...timmeh87 wrote:I just had a great idea though (still hijacking) - what do you guys think about a gc controller wii mod? just take apart a wii remote and hack it into a GC controller. buttons to buttons, and the analog sticks onto the accelerometers. I think it could work. might need some kinda uC in there but whatever, its not too hard.

-_- Not quite what I meant. I just meant the wiimote itself, minus the nunchuck. The wiimote tracks the Z, Y and Z axises, yes?
Edit: Okay, wait... I just realized you said gamecube... and it still doesn't make sense. What do you mean one on each shoulder button? AFAIK it only has 4. X and Y on each joystick. Altogether, the Wiimote has 5.
Ah, I just remembered what this thread was about... let's try to stop hi-jacking it... >.>

to be honest i didnt really think about it too too hard.
i havent played enough wii games to really get a feel for it.
but i think it would be fun to play around with it. a lot of the wii games i have played (sports mostly) seem to have a lot of weird glitches and cheats and stuff (my favorite is bowling.) and it would only make it more crazy to try to use a stick to do it. since it is /theoretically/ entirely possible to master any wii game with joysticks for accelerometers, you could end up getting pretty insane with your joysticks.
anyways. dont expect anything from me this decade. wii remotes are too expensive to be taking apart yet.
