Our current 1994 F-350 4 door longbed with the biggest V-8 available from the factory and offroad tires gets 12 mpg and 8 mpg towing. Both are at least 2x to 3x the weight and engine size of a Wrangler. Kinda weird.
The Jeep is built out of solid steel and carriers heavy duty 4x4 gear all the time. Has a I-6 4.0L engine and is geared for max torque. So yah I am sucking gas.
I was planning to go, but I'll be gone from June 2-11 running a sailing ship (Seabase)
kickass marshallh you sail? I just spent the day sailing with my club. Great fun and sun burns hah

Oh, I just thought you had big tires, didn't know you were all decked out. That would explain it, our Excursion and F-350 still have engines almost 2x the size, 7.3l and 7.5l, respectively.

Me and a friend of mine are gonna try to get on over there. Depends if the boss creatures will give the time off (it's likely they will) :D

We're around .80-1 dollar per litre of gas.
You are lucky, over here is $1 to $1.50... Just because of that stupid second tax...

Put my name on that list as well. My Mustang and I will see all of you there.

If anyone in [North] Texas wants to go with, we could probably split the cost and save us both (or up to four people) some cash.

I'd love to; I mean, come on, he turned two xBox 360s into laptops, people. Not to mention he's driven many of us to make our own portables and such.

I just check the dates for the event... I'll have to see if it' clashes with an annual reunion I go to in Nebraska. If not I'll see how much it is to drive, ride the bus and a hotel stay. If it works out not to be too expensive I'll see about going.

I'll update in a few days.

I don't want to make an "I'm leaving" thread, but I've sort of lost interest in this board. So if you notice that I'm gone, that's why.
