My first hack was trying to get my PSone Screen to input comosite video from my tv, after i tried that the screen turned a bluish color and i tryed it again and it looked like it was greenish- come to find out that it was the component mode fix for the SCREEn!!! I tossed it after tying to fix it- then afterwards about 2 years later i found out that you could bypass a fuse to make it work, i was pissed. Second was my PS2M and next will be my PSTwoM.
PS2M-99% -Final Stages of the 1st O.G. PS2 Portable (Will this ever get done??)
PSTwoSP- 50%
Rewiring Controller, LED Modding Screen

My first hack was also with an RC car because I didn't dare opening up a console. I took of everything (plastic that is) from a Fire Power car (by Tyco) and replaced the 'gun' by a light bulb. So it could drive in the dark and it was like a pickup truck instead of a jeep. Actually the gun was much cooler then the stupid bulb but I wanted to drive it in the dark for some reason
... I was 11 then

first hacking project, eh? well that takes me back...
Like most people I started with small animals before working my way up to homeless and prostit--oh, wait electronics...
the first serious project I worked on was the old 'grimboy advance'--which I'd really like to get another transverter for so I can finish...
before that I threw a region selecter switch on my neo geo, and sold Dreamcast emulation CDs at bars, but that's not really hacking. I'm sure I've done something before that, but it's really not comming to mind.
