Home-made NOAC???

Does anyone know if it is possible to replicate or duplicate a NOAC? What I mean is, could someone take one of those small boards from Radio Shack and with the right parts, make a replica? Just curious.

I might not be the right person to answer this, since I have never seen a NOAC in person... I'm sure it would be possible to make your own NOAC if you could get/make all of the parts that are necessary. However, my guess is that it would be much cheaper and faster to just get a NOAC. It would also be much smaller I'd think.

You'd need extensive electronics knowledge and a FPGA (or you'd have to send the chip content off to get turned into an actually transistor based IC)

But what about using the chips on the nes to make the nes smaller could you do that just like with the atari?
