Server on my desktop

Like I mentioned in a thread, I have Server 2003 on my Gateway.

Now I'm not a big fan of Windows, even though I end up using every day. But I need a Windows install to run my.... backup software. So I figured XP, been there done that. Windows Server only used that at school, but I can get it free so why the hell not.

Now that its up and running I'll be using it more then my laptop and I'm tempted to set it up as the centeral server on our lan. We'll see how it goes in my Networking calss, I might, might not.

And finally I'm sure there are you out there wondering how I got it, and its legal. Microsoft has a program that if your in CIS, CS, LUX, ect. class at a college and they support this you can download software free. Like Server 2003 (standard and enterprise), XP (SP1a, SP2, and buy [$12.00]), Visio, Visual Studios and other stuff. I'm going to be sure to get as much as I can before I graduate.

nice, all i have is like 5 copies of win 95 plus a bunch of misc mac stuff fromt he school.
