Reminds me of that projected keyboard they showed on Fresh Gear awhile ago.
I liked the whole presentation. Iterestiong that the objects he throw down that then looked like the car and space ship were like slammers (remember pogs?).

I also like how it detected the paper and played the video on it
but its kind of useless from a gaming standpoint.
your hand (input device) blocks the projection
also it's a horizontal surface rather than a vertical one--I never was much of a cocktail gamer, I guess.
If we saw an entire projection we'd see the lighting problems with 90degree projections like that.
still it shows that somebody over there is experimenting with alternative user interfaces--I just wish I could think of *anybody* who could make use of this technology. But you're right, you could play a $40,000 game of air hocky or monopoly with it...too bad it doesn't really add anything to those experiences.
