Sketches/computer drawings, anyone?

Post by bioniclebert »

I was wondering what you guys like to use for making designs?

Personally, At school, I have access to INVENTOR 6, a great program for making 3d models. Ive had practice for about 3 years now, and it can make some nice stuff.

I also use Multisim 8 for my electronics stuff. I downloaded a free trial that lasts more than 30 days, and it is some really neat stuff. (also available in school)

So what do you use?
And happy halloween!

i used to use autocad. i for real good with that but then the install disc got so scratched and i lost the program on my computer. not to mention my PC's power supply bit the big one. so now i use photoshop.

i want inventor because its better for mechanical things and has built in calculators and measurement tools that autocad doesnt have.

At my school we've got and autocad machine and a PCB printing machine but students arent allowed to use them

We got a good program called PCB design which is fairly good and this Diabolical circuit design program called Crocodile Technology which is a great idea, if it had more just ver ver very basic componets (eg LED's, Resistors, and that about it)

I usually sketch out something, if it gets to the point where its going somewhere I'll redue it in a program.

I use Photoshop for everything, then I crunch the resulting images down with ImageReady.

I do pseudo-3D rendering with PS's line and gradient tools! :P

And by that do you mean they have a Gerber? If so that'd be sweet :P

Yes. I've been doing this for a while :) Except the characters Homestar and Strong bad are based on the homestarrunner.com website, all modeling/texturing/rendering by me :) I use Anim8or mainly to make models for my games

Is Anim8or easier to use than Blender?
