how do I make quicktime stop playing my files when I click download?

wait, i think i get this. There are two ways to get around this. 1. right click, save as, if it is a direct link. If it isnt, go to tool>pageinfo. Press the media tab, and find what you want to save, and press save as. Viola!

Or save target as, then go to the file and right click, then press open with...vIola

When you have a file on your desktop, right click, 'open with...', WMP or Winamp or whatever.
When you have a file on line that you're downloading, there should be some sort of 'open with...' type of thing, select something that most definitely isn't quicktime.
If you're getting a direct feed from the internet, and it opens with quicktime, it probably means its some crazy quicktime format. Actually,this can be said for all of the above, some video only plays in Quicktime, so ha, you lose, joka'.
