printer help!

Ugh, can someone help me with my printer. Whenever i turn it on since yesterday, uit starts spewing out pages that have bizzare symbols at the top (like webdings) Its really pissing me off, since i need to print something.

Sounds like something may be fried. On eof the inkjets at school did that and we had to replace it.

Try unplugging it from everything (power, USB, parallel...) for a half hour. Then hook it back up again.

could be smothing woith your printer port, that happened to me becuase of a bad printer port

i fixed it, i think the file was corrupted or something, i unplugged it to clear the flash memory and it worked

ive had this problem. If you try to print something, cancel something incorrectly, and cause a printing "jam" It will spew out random charecters and such.(trying to print something that wont be able to print) i had this problem for days, i just left it off until I figured it out.
