Hip Screen on 12v

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

Hip Screen on 12v

Can I run a hip screen on 12 volts or is that too much? I'm thinking about using one for a GCp.

If you feed that into the 7808 regurlator (its on the controls board) you can. It will work fine as 12v is what the power adapter ouputs when your going to use it stock.

I haven't seen what they used to make their adapters(probably mass purchase from another company), but they vary by a lot. I've read posts on the forum where people have said that their adaptor was as high as 20V. If I remember correctly, mine was about 12V.
