Headlight question (probably just for triton though..)

i just bought 2 of these for 5 bucks! I knew they had to be 12v. anyway, mabye i'm going to make a HUGE flashlight, mabye using bolth bulbs!

Mabye have it run off of D Batteries, all 8 of them? I dunno, mabye Cs Or AA s just to keep weight down.

If those are H4656 bulbs, then they're 35 watts (actually, regardless of what they are they're probably atleast 30 watts), which means they draw almost 3 amps of current. You can probably run it off of D batteries for a little while, but be careful that you don't overheat them. Cs should also run it (not sure how well), but you definetly dont want to use AAs with that kind of load.

heh i got mine at a garage sale from an old guy for like 50 cents each with the boxed lol, good for when my cars crap out. lol, i think they are 35 watts yeah. i always get stuff like that cheap, i paid less than 60$ for my entire stereo system for my car thats cd player amp 6 6x9 speakers and 2 12" subs

yes, though I was thinking more along the lines of rechargeables, though Cs and Ds throw out a lot more current than puny AAs. or say 2 of those 7.2v Racing batteries, pumping out 3000mA (But not 6000, theyre in series)
EDIT:Or mabye just 2 of those Huge 6V batteries...
